The Apple TV box has been referred to for a long time as a hobby of Steve Jobs’. We finally purchased a modern TV. Adding the Apple TV was a whim. We’re quite happy with it.
The remote is a joy to use and feels better than any other in the house.
The interface and features are well thought-out, easy to use and cover an amazing range of functionality. For the price, it’s surprising.
For us, Netflix is probably the bigger draw. Other features I like include podcast viewing, which has made watching TED talks am prefer of magnitude simpler. iTunes U video courses also are more attractive now.
The most impressive aspect though is the iCloud integration. I expected to have to have my laptop, which houses my iTunes library, available on the network I. Order to watch my video purchases. Not so. They were available thanks to iTunes match. And my photo stream images were ready to view, too. Almost too easy.
Looks like an interesting To-Do system, with online, phone and iPad support. Might be worth a look.
